Driver CPC Courses
The Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is needed to drive a lorry, bus, or coach. Driving professionally without a valid CPC card can result in a fine of up to £1,000. All drivers must complete 35 hours of periodic training every five years to ensure their licence remains compliant.
Our CPC courses are one day courses designed to provide up to date information on a variety of fields relating to road safety. Each course is 3 ½ hours towards the 35 required hours, and we deliver two courses per day. The courses we offer include:

- Health & Safety
- Licence, Weights & Dimensions
- Fire Marshall
- Emergency First Aid at Work
- Security
- Tachographs
- Emergency Aid
- Vulnerable Road Users
- Tiredness, Diet & Lifestyle
While we rotate through these courses, we are able to take requests if candidates believe additional training is required in one of the above courses.
Each course costs £85pp + VAT.
Group bookings are also available for groups of 6 or more people at £500 + VAT per session + upload fee.

As an approved OFQUAL accreditation centre through NLTC, our Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) courses will deliver the knowledge required for obtaining an Operator’s Licence in the UK. We ensure all our training is conducted in person, offering the hands-on experience and interactive learning environment essential for effective understanding and preparation for CPC qualifications. Including:
- Civil, Commercial, Social, & Fiscal Law
- Gain insights into legal requirements specific to the road haulage and passenger transport sectors.
- Business and Financial Management
- Understand key principles of managing a transport business, including budgeting, accounting, and financial forecasting.
- Cross-Border Transport Procedures
- Learn the paperwork and regulations for taking goods or passengers across UK borders.

This two day course for qualified transport managers is designed to keep candidates up to date with the latest transport legislation to ensure they remain compliant with their responsibilities as a transport manager. It is advised by the Traffic Commissioner to update ongoing Transport Managers certification every 3-5 years.

Operator’s Licence Awareness Training is a one day course for transport managers, supervisors, and other staff working in the day to day operations for commercial vehicles. The course is designed to deliver up to date information on transport legislation to ensure staff have the knowledge and skills required to run vehicles on public roads.

Course Info
Location
All our training sessions are located at our offices in Totton, within DHL Tradeteams premises. Please be mindful of the DHL vehicles that come and go from the site.
Upon entering, please park at the far end of the car park and make your way to the rear of the building to the door opposite the smoking shelter. From here we will take you up to the classroom.
Tea and coffee will be provided in the classroom but will need to make your own arrangements for lunch.
While protective footwear will not be needed for training in the classroom, please be aware that DHL does not allow open toe shoes to be worn on their premises. Please dress appropriately and bring along your drivers cards. PPE will be issued as it is needed.
Medical Conditions and Learning Difficulties
If you have a medical condition that we need to be aware of, please notify us prior to the start of the course. If you suffer from any learning difficulties, please let us know as soon as possible so we can accommodate your needs.
Smoking, Alcohol and Drugs
For the safety of all participants and staff, anyone believed to be under the influence of any drugs or alcohol will be expelled from course and no refund will be issued. Smoking and vaping is not allowed inside the building and must be contained to the designated smoking area.
Cancellation and Non Attendance
Your place on the course could be forfiet if you do not bring along the nesecary documentation and identification on the day. If for any reason you need to cancel, please notify us as soon as you are able. Participants who do not attend for any reason will not be subject to a refund.
